Phila Cares Day at John Bartram High School

On Saturday, October 16th, 2010 members of the EWB-MAP team participated in the city's 17th Annual Philadelphia Cares Day, a marathon day of volunteer service dedicated to the school children of our region. This event brought together over 8,000 volunteers that contributed 70,000 service hours in to over 100 schools in one day! It was the third consecutive year in which our chapter was involved in this event. Volunteer work included creation of libraries, painting classrooms, designing murals, removing graffiti, planting greenery, and much more.

The EWB-MAP team headed cleanup and rennovation efforts at John Bartram High School located in southwest Philadelphia.
